The Pet Adoption League, which began as the Pound Animal League in 1988, is a non-profit organization focused on the care and welfare of all domestic animals. Originally, a loose conglomeration of foster families, PAL's is now housed in a larger shelter acquired in 2004.

Located in Emmett, Idaho, PAL's serves Gem County and the surrounding areas. It is estimated that during the past five years, PAL's has helped reduce the county's and city's euthanization rates by eighty percent.
